Rozie Khashmanian

Hi there. I hope you're doing well! I guess you've somehow stumbled upon my blog so maybe I should tell you a little about who I am.

 

My name is Rozie and I'm a freshman at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I was born in California, but have lived in Charlotte for the majority of my life.

 

English has always been one of my favorite subjects, right next to science. That's probably why I'm a double major in pre-biology and psychology with a love for reading and writing. Was that corny? Oops.

 

I love reading, watching movies, and music. I'm not too fond of math and I want to be a doctor. Not quite sure what kind of doctor I want to be yet, but I'll let you know when I have it figured out.

 

The purpose of this portfolio is to show you what I have learned and how my writing has developed over the last semester. When you read the entries, try to read them with an open mind. Don’t be quick to judge, although if you disagree with something I say, no hard feelings.

 

The overall theme of this portfolio is English itself and not the language, but the subject of course. I mean, my main blog posts mostly have to do with writing, imagination, and personal experience. Another major assignment has to do with my belief in reading real books. English and the creativity that goes along with reading and writing is all over this portfolio.

 

What I wish for you to take away is some sort of emotion. Whether you read something and it makes you feel angry, happy, upset or curious, I want you to feel something when you finish reading.
